Martin Kim

Principal, Architecture

Martin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 1988 and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois in 1993. His studies included a year in Versailles, France at the Ecole d’Archtecture. A licensed architect since 1996, Martin brings a wealth of architectural and building experience to any project. Martin was an early adopter of conservation practices and eco-friendly design and as a co-founder of Aspen Green, LLC (2005), an environmental consulting company, helped the City of Chicago implement energy efficient systems for new and existing buildings including the design and installation of hot water solar panel system for The Cultural Center in downtown Chicago. Martin is a Illinois Licensed Architect & LEED Accredited Professional. He also holds an active Self-Certification registration in Chicago.

Lauren Levine

Principal, Procurement

Lauren is an expert in procurement and project management professional in global experience in residential and hospitality industries. She brings over 20 years of of expertise in design, sales, FF&E purchasing, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, logistics management, and revenue balancing with in depth knowledge of fine arts, furnishing, and interior design and decorating. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and studied Interior Design at School of the Art Institute Chicago.

de Shun Wang

Managing Principal

Prior to founding DWDW, de Shun worked for a number of internationally recognized firms: architecture (VOA, now Stantec), interior design (CF Designs - co founder), kitchen/interior design (deGiulio), and furniture design (TAG). His exceptional design ability and extensive project management experience have led to a broad portfolio extending across the United States and Asia since 1999. Selected projects have been featured in Metropolitan Home, CS Interiors, Chicago Home and Garden Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, and selected as the “Best in Hospitality 2012 & 2018”, “Interior Design Book - Best in Residential 2016” by Interior Design Magazine. de Shun holds a Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture from School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Tyler Yager

Creative Advisor

Tyler is currently the Director of Architectural Design at Turf Design. His professional and private work weave together to understand the objects within our lives and our experiences with them. His pursuit incorporates extensive research, exploration, and experimentation to develop novel objects with substance that excite the senses. Selected works have been showcased in Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan, Italy and The Future Perfect Popup Shop in New York, New York. Tyler holds a Master of Design in Designed Objects from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Justin Carr

Justin brings 30 years of marketing, communications and brand strategy experience to the dwdw team. His broad perspective has been shaped by roles at firms ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. Justin began his career in advertising with J. Walter Thompson, and has experience in both the US and abroad. Justin holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
